Thursday, 12.01.2011, 06:52am (GMT)

Native Land
Native Land: Lost In The Mystery of Time" is a Florida story that will be filmed in Florida, primarily locations will be on Amelia Island and surrounding areas.

The screenplay was written by Nadine Vaughan based on her novel of the same name. Information onVaughan can be found at www.nadinevaughan.com. She is also the Director for the film and is an Executive Producer with her husband, Emmy Award winner Rick Traum  http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0871199/bio.

The film features Native American actor Buffalo Child ("Dances With Wolves").

"Native Land: Lost In The Mystery of Time" is a film that begs to be born. An historical fiction that is conceived in truth, it emerges from stories told by a wise woman whose remarkable journey in search for her lost life and mysterious family origins stretch from the time of the old south into the inner psyches of present day Clansmen. Her story serves as a record of deeply personal experiences; of racial intolerance, an unforgiving family, and the ultimate coming together of a community. Told through the deep symbolism of a dark Florida forest, an enigmatic family of Native Americans whose mystical knowing brilliantly blends  humor and hope, beckoning all who want to venture beyond the known.

The crew includes veteran film and television professionals handling camera, sound, lighting, and other production elements. Key members of the team are David D'Dardenne. (CBS, ABC, NBC), Gonzo Gagliardi (Gaga Producciones), Rick Pullem ("The Diary of Preston Plummer"), Anne Fontaine, Don Rua, Nick Rua, Landon Kovalick, and Madeline Victoria.

Film trailer #1 is now awaiting music clearance rights with a world renowned composer to score the soundtrack.

Film trailer #2 is completed and features music composed and performed by noted musician Bill Neal (Elkwhistle). Scheduled release for this trailer is on or about May 17th. Both trailers will be used to interest investors for the feature film.

Nadine Vaughan writes as she lives; with passion and a fierce belief that even when lost in the heart of darkness, we can find our way home. In her own life, she has trekked to Machu Piccu in Peru, swam in the Amazon River, learned to fly planes, and battled an invasive form of cancer that led most who knew her to fear she would soon die. Nadine also had her own radio show in California for 10 years. As a seasoned clinical psychologist, Dr. Vaughan uses her many experiences to accompany us into our own deepest fears. There, we travel into the recesses of the mind where nothing is as it seems.
