Rakhi  Arora-An Indian Actress with the Hollywood Dreams

By Sunil Babbar, Filmmaker from India

Hello my dear friends from the World Cinema. I am very happy to receive your overwhelming response to my column ‘Bollywood Flyover’. Your love for Bollywood is highly appreciable. Bollywood Flyover loves you all.

Guys, in this issue of the ‘Bollywood Flyover’ let me introduce you to the Indian Film Actress from the land of Maharashtra, named Rakhi Arora.

Rakhi Arora was born on 01-12-1996 in the City Beautiful Chandigarh. The 22 years old Rakhi Arora is currently based in Mumbai.

I recently met this charming and energetic actress in my office, and I was instantly impressed by her persona. I asked her to tell me more about her.

Says Rakhi Arora ”I Started when I was very young, just 7 years old, by being involved in a TV program named ‘Music Dhamaka’, which was aired on the State owned TV Channel ‘Doordarshan’.

After my successful debut on TV I got myself actively involved in the theatrical and cultural events in Chandigarh. I joined IPTA as a Theater artist. I gradually spread my wings, and started doing Ad Films, Feature Films and Ramp Shows etc. all over India. My TV ad film with Bollywood’s Lady Super Star Vidya Balan became very popular and I was thrilled to share a screen space with such a wonderful actress like her. I was recognized throughout the region for my work with her. Then I did two TV Serials namely ‘Nancy’ and ‘Pavitra Bandhan’ for the National TV Channel of India named ‘Doordarshan’. I had a dream to appear in movies, and my wish became successful when I did a bi-lingual movie named ‘Force’ in 2 languages i.e.Nepali and Kannada. Then I appeared in a Marathi movie ‘Thamba To Khari’. I did a Short Film too which is named as ‘Journey to Jugnu’. My debut in Bollywood came with a film named as ‘Life ki aisi ki Taisi’. In between I continued exploring myself with Ramp shows in Mumbai and Hyderabad as a Showstopper for brands like Shoppers Stop, Jashan, Sloch, Bibba etc. alongwith doing Print Shoots for numerous brands.

See, I believe I have invested heavily to establish myself to be a truly Indian International Film Professional. All this investment is reaping the desired results now as my works are being acknowledged for their seriousness and professionalism”.

I was intensely looking at this pocket power house who had tons of energy within her.

Rakhi Arora adds, “In the coming months I am having my first experience in the Indian International cinema, by co-producing and acting in an English International Feature Film named ’MONK’ along with the acclaimed International Film Director Mr. Sunil Babbar. The highly prestigious Mauritian-American film project ‘MONK’ is based on the lives and the inner journey of three ordinary Indians based in the beautiful locales of Laddakh. We plan to release this multi-lingual film in the early months of 2019 in USA, India and the Worldover”.

Guys, I am simply impressed by the honesty and works of Rakhi Arora. She is successfully leading her own path throughout the World by her wonderful works.

The ‘Bollywood Flyover’ wishes Rakhi Arora a great success in her upcoming film ‘MONK’.

Guys, I shall be back next time with another step over on Bollywood Flyover. Cheers!!!
