Touch Tuesday, 12.24.2024, 08:07 PM ![]() Touch is part cross-cultural romance across the decades, part reflection on the post-Hiroshima world of Japanese immigration, about 20 years after the bomb was dropped, destroying the city. Though 3/4 of the touching love story takes place inside a Japanese restaurant in London's 'swinging '60's', featuring actors Palmi Kormakur and Koki as the young lovers, we also follow an older Icelandic gentleman (Egill Olafsson) on a search for answers to a dilemma he faced in his youth. His journey begins just when the world is shutting down for covid. ![]() Featuring an extremely likeable cast of faces generally unknown to American audiences, Touch had a brief run in theaters this year and is currently available on streaming services. It's worth your while to seek it out. Lisa Blanck is the Associate Editor / Movie Reviewer for In Focus-Magazine.com and is a member of the Critics Association of Central Florida.
